Save a Specific Location
If you want to save a location that you have visited, you may wonder how to drop a pin on your iPhone. You can share a specific location with friends and family by tapping the Share button located next to the Favorite option or Info icon. When you tap on the Share button, you can also share your location with others by email, text message, or by pasting a URL. You can also share multiple locations at once from the Share menu.
To save a location, you can either manually pinpoint the location or use Google Maps to find it. When you are on a map, the blue dot should be marked as your current location. To save your location, you must hold the GPS icon down. A menu will appear and you can choose Save, Label, or Share. Once you have a saved location, you can share it with others via iMessage, Whatsapp, or any other messaging service.
